WHY CLOUD MATRIX IT

My professional journey began at 16 working at the local Dairy Queen. Every aspect of operating a fast-food joint came easy to me. By the time I graduated, ownership wanted to train me to manage the place in a few years. Made sense to me. It was a lot of work, but I was really good at it. I thought, “this is what I’m supposed to do”.

Shortly after graduation, I began to think that there was something else out there for me, something "more" I should be doing. But I had no idea what that was. I had little to no prospects and no way to pay for college. So, I decided to take a huge chance on something unknown to me. To do something that was way out of left field. I joined the Marine Corps to become a combat photographer. Not knowing at the time that it would immediately get me started in the information technology field.

With over 24 years in the field, a degree in network security, and some incredible tech roles along the way, I now get to do something truly rewarding. Leveraging everything I've learned—from my time in the United States Marine Corps and my experiences in both business and tech (and yes, even a stint serving ice cream)—I help people develop, deploy, secure, and manage their technology so they can focus on what drives them. It's pretty awesome.
